After Saladin’s triumph over the King of Jerusalem and signing a peace agreement together, the crusader army commander Raynald of Châtillon slaughtered pilgrims caravan heading to Macca. Saladin retaliates by defeating the Crusaders in the Battle of Hattin. Raynald of Châtillon’s widow “Virginia” starts mobilizing a new crusade: Conrad of France, and Richard Loin Heart of England as the leader of the new Crusade.
